Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, travel to the airport for your scenic flight to Lukla, the starting point of your Everest trekking adventure. The flight typically takes around 30–40 minutes, depending on operating conditions, and offers impressive views of Nepal’s mountain landscapes.

Upon arrival, meet your trekking crew and begin walking through the settlements around Lukla. Follow the trail through Chaurikharka and descend towards the Dudh Koshi River valley.

Continue past small villages, cultivated fields, prayer wheels, and traditional mountain homes until you reach Phakding. This relatively short opening trek allows you to settle into the walking routine and begin adjusting to the increasing altitude.

If time permits, explore the surrounding area or visit a nearby monastery before resting for the evening.

Meals: Lunch and dinner, as arranged in the package.

Overnight: Local teahouse lodge in Phakding.

Begin the day with breakfast before following the Dudh Koshi River towards Namche Bazaar. The trail passes through pine forests, traditional villages, and several suspension bridges that span the fast-flowing river.

Cross the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge and continue towards the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, where the authorities check trekking permits. After completing the formalities, follow the uphill trail through forested slopes towards Namche Bazaar.

The climb becomes more demanding as you approach this important Sherpa settlement. On clear days, you may catch your first distant glimpse of Mount Everest along the route.

Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, settle into your lodge and enjoy the atmosphere of this lively mountain town, known for its bakeries, cafés, shops, and trekking facilities.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as arranged in the package.

Overnight: Local teahouse lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Spend an additional day in Namche Bazaar to help your body adapt to the altitude before continuing towards higher elevations. Although you will have time to relax, a gentle acclimatisation walk can help you adjust more effectively.

Explore the town’s colourful market streets, visit local shops, or enjoy a café overlooking the surrounding mountains. You may also take an optional hike towards the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest and neighbouring peaks, weather permitting.

Other possible excursions include visits to nearby Sherpa settlements, local museums, or the surrounding viewpoints. Keep the activity level comfortable and follow your guide’s advice regarding altitude acclimatisation.

Return to your lodge and prepare for the next stage of the trek.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as arranged in the package.

Overnight: Local teahouse lodge in Namche Bazaar.

After breakfast, leave Namche Bazaar and follow the scenic trail towards Tengboche. The route crosses forested hillsides and undulating paths, offering impressive views of the Himalayan peaks throughout the day.

Descend towards Phunki Tenga before beginning a sustained uphill climb through wooded terrain. Depending on the season, you may see rhododendron blooms and a variety of Himalayan birdlife along the way.

As you approach Tengboche, the landscape opens up to reveal striking views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Visit Tengboche Monastery, a renowned spiritual centre of the Khumbu region, and learn about the area’s Buddhist traditions if the monastery is open to visitors.

Spend the evening enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings.

Begin the morning with breakfast before continuing towards Dingboche, a high-altitude village surrounded by impressive Himalayan scenery. The trail descends through forested sections before crossing the Imja Khola and climbing towards Pangboche.

Along the way, pass traditional settlements, stone walls, chortens, and mani walls that reflect the region’s strong Buddhist heritage. The landscape gradually becomes more open as you leave the lower forests behind.

Enjoy spectacular views of Ama Dablam and other surrounding peaks as you continue through the Imja Valley. The trail gains elevation steadily, so maintain a comfortable pace and take regular breaks.

Arrive in Dingboche, a popular acclimatisation stop for trekkers heading towards Everest Base Camp. Settle into your lodge and rest.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as arranged in the package.

Overnight: Local teahouse lodge in Dingboche.

After breakfast, continue your ascent towards Lobuche. The trail climbs gradually through the high-altitude landscape, with increasingly expansive views of the surrounding mountains.

Follow the path towards the ridge above Pheriche before continuing towards the Thukla area. Here, visit the memorials dedicated to climbers and mountaineers who lost their lives in the Everest region. These memorials provide a quiet moment to reflect on the challenges and achievements associated with Himalayan mountaineering.

Continue along the rugged trail towards Lobuche, passing rocky terrain and glacial landscapes. The thinning air and increasing elevation make this a demanding stage, so walk slowly and follow your guide’s instructions.

Upon reaching Lobuche, check into your teahouse and rest in preparation for the journey towards Everest Base Camp.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as arranged in the package.

Overnight: Local teahouse lodge in Lobuche.

Today brings one of the most memorable stages of your Himalayan adventure. After breakfast, leave Lobuche and follow the rugged trail towards Gorak Shep, the last major overnight settlement on the standard Everest Base Camp trekking route.

Walk across rocky terrain and sections alongside the Khumbu Glacier, enjoying remarkable views of the surrounding peaks and glacial formations. Upon reaching Gorak Shep, settle your belongings at the lodge before continuing towards Everest Base Camp, subject to weather and trail conditions.

Follow the trail across glacial moraine and uneven ground as you approach the base camp area. At Everest Base Camp, take time to appreciate the extraordinary surroundings, photograph the dramatic landscape, and celebrate reaching one of the world’s most iconic trekking destinations.

The view from base camp focuses on the surrounding glacier, ice formations, and nearby peaks; Mount Everest’s summit is not generally visible directly from the standard base camp viewpoint.

After exploring the area, return to Gorak Shep for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as arranged in the package.

Overnight: Local teahouse lodge in Gorak Shep.

Rise early for the hike to Kala Patthar, one of the most celebrated viewpoints in the Everest region. Begin before sunrise and follow the uphill trail towards the viewpoint at approximately 5,545 metres.

As daylight spreads across the Himalayas, admire magnificent views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, and the surrounding peaks. Kala Patthar offers one of the best accessible panoramas of Everest’s summit from the standard trekking route.

Spend some time taking photographs and enjoying the scenery before descending to Gorak Shep for breakfast.

After a short rest, continue downhill towards Pheriche. The descent takes you through the rugged high-altitude landscape and back towards lower elevations. Follow your guide’s pace and take care on the uneven trail.

Upon reaching Pheriche, settle into your lodge and recover after the early morning hike and long trekking day.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as arranged in the package.

Overnight: Local teahouse lodge in Pheriche.

After breakfast, begin your return journey towards Tengboche. Retrace sections of the trail through the Imja Valley and follow the descending paths towards Pangboche and the surrounding settlements.

Enjoy another perspective of Ama Dablam and the Himalayan landscape as you gradually lose altitude. The trail passes traditional villages, Buddhist monuments, and sections of forest that become more prominent as you descend.

Continue towards Tengboche, where you can relax after the day’s walk and enjoy the peaceful surroundings near the monastery.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as arranged in the package.
